Naa Adjeley Frempong receives ARNTD Award

Naa Adjeley Frempong a post graduate research student with the Parasitology Department of NMIMR has received the African Research Network for Neglected Tropical Disease (ARNTD) Award. The small grant (junior award category; Ref: SGP II/0114/071) from the African Research Network for Neglected Tropical Disease (ARNTD) supported by the USAID and UK aid which is expected to last for a year. Her study is titled “Assessing schistosomiasis and soil transmitted helminths (STH) infections in pregnant women in Ga West and South districts: a basis for inclusion in routine antenatal care (ANC) screening”.She is a PhD student of the clinical microbiology department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Her mentors for the small grant award are Prof. Samuel Njenga and Prof. Abraham Kwabena Anang.
